一名攝影師用相機記錄下了親生女兒和養女的姊妹照，證明家族的愛是超越種族和血緣的。

安娜 (Anna Christine) 發表了她的作品《何來有異》(Barely Different)，照片的主角分別是現在3歲半的親生女兒艾芬 (Haven) 和5歲半的養女莎曼 (Semenseh)。

Two year period: Anna Christine began taking photos of her daughters when Semenesh was three-and-a-half and when Haven was just One-and-a-half-years-old.

 

莎曼是安娜在5年前於東非伊索比亞認養回的女兒。

安娜表示，在她開始在海地當義工照顧孤兒後，就一直很想收養一名孩子。

 Best friends: The girls are each other's best friends despite being different races and being born in countries on opposite sides of the world

 

當時她照顧的其中一名孩子因愛滋病過世，這簡直傷透了她的心。

為了避免悲劇重演，她決定認養孩子，並給予孩子最完善的照顧。

Love unites: Anna Christine said she decided to adopt Semenesh from Ethiopia  after volunteering in Haiti and falling in love with the children there 

 

儘管種族不同、血緣相異，但兩姊妹是彼此最好的朋友和家人。

 New life: One of the children under Anna Christine's care later died of HIV and she knew then that she wanted to adopt a daughter like Semenesh to prevent her from the same tragic fate 

 

兩人什麼事都膩在一起，包含睡午覺。

當她們在外面玩了整天之後，會一起回來打個盹。

 Sleep buddies: Haven and Semenesh enjoy doing everything together, including taking a nap when they are tired from playing all day long 

 

艾芬和莎曼雖然外表不一樣，但兩人對彼此的愛和親生姊妹沒有不同。

 Feel no different: Haven and Semenesh may look different but they both feel love for one another like sisters from the same blood 

 

安娜表示，自己很慶幸領養了莎曼，在領養孩子的過程中他們學到很多，雖然並不容易，但一切都相當值得。

 'Although two of my children are biological, I am so grateful for the things adoption has taught our family. It's a beautiful experience, and though not all of it is easy, it will always be completely worth it,' Anna Christine said

 

安娜在莎曼3歲半、艾芬1歲半時開始攝影，她表示兩姊妹感情很好，完全沒有因為膚色不同而有任何距離。

 Holding hands: Adoption may be a hard process with many challenges but by embracing both their similarities and differences the girls are able to build a sisterhood

 

兩人來自南北兩端的遙遠國家，但透過領養，她們現在是密不可分的家人。

'Two souls birthed on the opposite sides of the world, were brought close through adoption, and their bond is great because of unity,' said Anna Christine of her lovely daughters 

 

兩人的未來充滿希望，並且將攜手一起面對未來挑戰。

Bright future: Semenesh and Haven's future is bright and together they will continue to have adventures 

 

安娜表示，自己將作品命名為《何來有異》是因為要讓大家知道，膚色的差異不會影響人和人的交流。

她也刻意以黑白照片表現出兩人的相似和相異處。

'I've titled it Barley Different because I would like others to see how skin color has nothing to do with our human connections,' said Anna Christine of her title for this heartwarming photo series 

 

身為姊姊的莎曼從小就對妹妹嗬護有加。

Care: Semenesh is two years older than her sister Haven and her older sibling care is evident in the photos

 

兩人坐著玩樂時喜歡一起喝著飲料。

Sweet friendship: Semenesh and Haven enjoy a sweet drink together as they sit and play 

 

雖然兩人偶爾會像一般姊妹一樣吵架，但多數時候兩人感情非常好。

Inseparable: Haven and Semenesh fight like all siblings do but most of the time they get along 

 

兩姊妹抱著爸爸的腿，看得出來家庭和樂融融，也再次證明即使沒有血緣，只要有「愛」，一家人仍然可以幸福美好。

Close family: Haven and Semenesh playfully cling to their father's legs and prove how families are not based on genetics but on love 

 

即使種族、膚色不同，兩姊妹彼此牽著手凝視彼此時，就像親姊妹般無法拆散。

Similar: Despite being of different races both Haven and Semenesh look like sisters as they hold hands and gaze lovingly into each other's eyes 
 

雖然兩人來自不同的母親，但她們都叫安娜「媽媽」，並且愛著她。
